Diary, 1778.

His diary was kept for 1778, while he was an aide to Washington, and is interleaved in William Andrews, Poor Will's Pocket Almanack (Philadelphia: J. Crukshank, 1777). The entries are brief, but significant, and note events concerning Washington's Army. Events mentioned include the Franco-American Alliance, the Carlisle Peace Commission, the Battle of Monmouth, and the Franco-American attack on Newport.
